CLIFTON PARK — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Blue Barns Road in the town of Clifton Park Sunday at 7:48 a.m.
Vickey Baldeo, 25, of Schenectady, was arrested and charged with DWAI-drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, following the single-vehicle accident.
Baldeo was also charged with speed not reasonable or prudent and failure to use designated lane, both infractions.
According to authorities, Baldeo’s vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees, bushes, and a mailbox.
Investigators allege Baldeo was operating a motor vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by a drug.
He is further accused of operating a motor vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable under the conditions and failing to drive his vehicle entirely within a single lane.
Baldeo was transported by ambulance to Ellis Hospital for evaluation and treatment of apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in the incident.
Baldeo was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the Clifton Park Town Court.
