ELLENBURG — A 36-year-old Altona man was arrested on April 11 for sending threatening text messages to a victim in Ellenburg.
Elijah J. Thume was charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree following an investigation that began in January.
State Police initially responded to a harassment complaint on Ryan Road in Ellenburg at approximately 7:33 p.m. on Jan. 13.
Troopers were unable to locate Thume at the time of the initial complaint.
Authorities coordinated with the Town of Ellenburg Court to obtain an arrest warrant, which was granted in April.
After the warrant was issued, Troopers located and arrested Thume.
He was transported to the State Police station in Ellenburg for processing.
Following his arraignment in the Town of Ellenburg Court, Thume was remanded to Clinton County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
