WEST HAVEN — Police arrested three individuals, including two juveniles, after responding to reports of masked suspects attempting to break into a home on Rockdale Road Sunday evening.
Officers arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. on April 13 following an anonymous tip about three people wearing ski masks trying to kick in a door at a residence.
The suspects fled on foot when the first officer arrived, according to police.
Two suspects were observed running through Carrigan School property toward Malcom Road and the Promise Land Church.
Officers apprehended two individuals near Malcom Road, identified as 18-year-old Jonnie St. Pierre of West Haven and a juvenile.
The third suspect, also a juvenile, was located on Rockdale Road and taken into custody.
All three were transported to the West Haven Police Detention Center for processing.
St. Pierre was charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree and interfering with an officer. He was held on bond.
The first juvenile faces identical charges of criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree and interfering with an officer.
The second juvenile was charged with simple trespass and interfering with an officer.
Both juveniles were issued summonses and released to their parents.
