WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a 42-year-old city man on April 10 after responding to reports of a car break-in in progress on Canterbury Street.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at about 1:20 a.m. after receiving a call about someone attempting to force open the door of a parked vehicle.
The suspect had fled before police arrived, but officers were able to review security footage of the incident.
After searching the area, officers located Michael Lobo of Worcester, whom they recognized as the person captured in the surveillance footage.
Lobo was found to have an active arrest warrant and was placed under arrest.
He was charged with attempt to break into a depository in addition to the existing warrant.
