BALLSTON SPA — A Troy woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly smuggling suboxone into the Saratoga County Jail, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Malayasia E. Hudson, 30, faces a charge of promoting prison contraband in the first degree, a class D felony.
Authorities began investigating after receiving a complaint that a female visitor had passed contraband to a male inmate at the facility.
Hudson was released on an appearance ticket at the direction of Milton Town Court Judge Timothy M. Brown.
She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date for further proceedings.
