WOODFORD — A Massachusetts man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle into a brick wall on Vermont Route 9 Saturday afternoon.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near Erbs Way in Woodford at approximately 6:02 p.m.
According to police, Samuel Ramondelli, 30, of Lunenburg, drove his 2024 Subaru Forester off the roadway in rainy conditions.
Troopers observed “multiple indicators of impairment” while speaking with Ramondelli at the scene, police said.
Ramondelli sustained minor injuries in the crash, which caused heavy front-end damage to his vehicle.
He was arrested and transported to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.
Ramondelli was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on April 28 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the DUI charge.
