SOUTH BURLINGTON — Two drivers were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 southbound near mile marker 89.2 in South Burlington at 6:24 p.m. Friday.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene along with South Burlington Fire Department and South Burlington EMS.
Jamie Faas, 50, of Colchester, was driving a 2020 Honda Ridgeline that was totaled in the collision.
Faas suffered serious injuries and was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Gregory Shover, 56, of Shelbourne, was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that was also totaled in the crash.
Shover sustained non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
The crash occurred under cloudy skies with dry road conditions.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains open pending further investigation.
