SCITUATE — Rhode Island State Police arrested two women on outstanding warrants Friday at separate state facilities.
Troopers arrested Heidi Davis, 57, of Warwick, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal on a Kent County Superior Court bench warrant.
Davis, of 331 Main Avenue, Apt. 1, was wanted for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference on charges of obtaining property under false pretenses.
The original case originated from the State Police Wickford Barracks.
At noon, troopers arrested Maria Mercado, 59, of Providence, at the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles on a warrant for simple assault from the Providence Police Department.
Mercado, of 48 Seabury Street, was processed at State Police Headquarters before being transferred to Providence police.
Both women were initially transported to State Police Headquarters for processing after their arrests.
