PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested a 50-year-old Providence man on drug possession and vandalism charges following a motor vehicle stop Tuesday night.
Henry Cruz, of 24 Babcock Street, was taken into custody at 9:13 p.m. after troopers stopped his vehicle at the intersection of Bucklin Street and Whitmarsh Street.
Cruz was charged with possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance (cocaine) and vandalism.
Following his arrest, Cruz was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing.
He was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and subsequently released with a future court date in Sixth District Court.
