COLCHESTER — The Colchester Police Department responded to a report of gunshots behind 363 Ethan Allen Avenue at 1:20 a.m. April 12.
Upon arrival, officers located a male with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the ground outside of the building and immediately began providing care.
The victim was transported by St. Michaels Rescue to the UVM Medical Center for treatment of his wounds and is currently in critical condition.
The Essex Police Department and the Williston Police Department also responded and assisted at the scene.
Authorities believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
