ALBANY, NY — Members of the Albany Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of South Pearl Street Friday at 1:15 p.m. in connection with a stolen dog incident.
The search was related to a Yorkshire terrier reported stolen on Wednesday, April 9.
During the search, officers located the stolen dog inside the residence.
Detectives also recovered two loaded firearms at the scene.
Two individuals found inside the home were taken into custody.
Brenda McClendon, 42, has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and one count of Grand Larceny 3rd.
Javier Clark, 24, has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and one count of Grand Larceny 3rd.
Both suspects were arraigned Saturday morning in Albany City Criminal Court.
McClendon was remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail.
Clark was remanded to the Albany County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
The Yorkshire terrier, named Fendi, has been reunited with its owner.
