DUNDEE — A 52-year-old Dundee man was charged with criminal contempt and filing a false written instrument after allegedly violating an order of protection, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Shawn Martz was issued an appearance ticket on April 11 at 4:25 p.m. to appear in the Town of Barrington Court.
Investigators said Martz had been residing with an individual who was a protected party on an order of protection.
Authorities also allege that Martz lied on a sworn written statement to a Yates County deputy.
The incident occurred at 4378 Preemption Road in Dundee, according to the sheriff’s office.
Martz will answer the charges in the Town of Barrington Court at a later date.
