WILLIAMSTOWN — A Bradford woman faces charges of driving under the influence after her vehicle struck a residence on Circle Street early Saturday morning.

Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 1:27 a.m. on Circle Street near Vermont Route 14.

The operator was identified as Samantha Smith, 25, of Bradford.

Investigation revealed Smith’s 2012 Toyota Highlander left the roadway, struck a rock, and then collided with a residence, causing moderate damage to the home.

Smith’s vehicle sustained extensive front-end damage in the crash.

Smith, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident, suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

Responding officers determined Smith was impaired and took her into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

She was processed at the Berlin Barracks and later released with a citation to appear in Orange Superior Court – Criminal Division.

The crash occurred during clear weather conditions on dry pavement.
