WICKFORD — Rhode Island State Police arrested Christopher Gregelevich, 37, of West Warwick, on multiple charges including alteration of vehicle identification numbers and possession of stolen vehicles at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Gregelevich, of 27 Turner Drive, faces 10 charges including five counts of altering vehicle identification numbers, tampering with odometer, two counts of possession of stolen vehicles, possession of stolen vehicle parts, forgery and counterfeiting, conspiracy, giving false documents to a public official, and obstructing police officers.
The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by Trooper Felice, with troopers locating Gregelevich at his residence.
Gregelevich was processed at Wickford Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment, where he was presented as a probation and bail violator.
In a separate incident, troopers arrested Chad Stromberg, 33, of Coventry, at 5:18 p.m. on three counts of making crank and obscene phone calls.
Stromberg’s arrest followed an investigation by Trooper McNulty and a motor vehicle stop on Harkney Hill Road in Coventry.
After processing at Wickford Barracks, Stromberg was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released with a future court date at Third Division District Court.
In a third incident, troopers arrested Abdullah Yousafzai, 40, of Lincoln, at 2:22 a.m. for driving under the influence of liquor, first offense.
Yousafzai was stopped on Route 4 in East Greenwich, processed at Wickford Barracks, and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
