MILFORD — A man was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly threatening to kill another person and chasing him with a knife to the Milford Police Department headquarters.
The victim entered the police department lobby at approximately 12:36 a.m. on April 5, reporting that Vitor Machado Da Silva had threatened to “kill him” and pursued him with a knife from his residence to the police station.
Officers immediately searched the area for the suspect but initially could not locate him.
At 12:50 a.m., Milford Police K-9 and Drone Units were deployed to assist in the search for Machado Da Silva and the weapon.
The suspect was found at 12:57 a.m. in the area of 309 Main St., sitting in the passenger seat of a blue Toyota Highlander.
Machado Da Silva was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault, and threatening to commit a crime.
Police said he also had an active warrant for his arrest related to previous offenses.
