Merrimack man arrested for sexual assault of juvenile

MERRIMACK — A 20-year-old Merrimack man was arrested on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault following an investigation into allegations involving a juvenile under the age of 18.

Keith C. Hanley was taken into custody on April 10 after the Merrimack Police Department received a report of a possible sexual assault on March 30.

The department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau determined that Hanley had sexually assaulted the juvenile after interviewing witnesses and the alleged victim.

Hanley was arrested without incident with assistance from multiple agencies, including the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department, Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, New Hampshire State Police, Merrimack County Sheriff’s, Rockingham County Sheriff’s and Nashua Police Department.

He was arraigned on April 11 and ordered to be held on preventative detention.
