Killington man arrested as fugitive from justice

KILLINGTON — A 25-year-old Killington man was arrested Thursday morning as a fugitive from justice based on an out-of-state warrant.

Treay Stewart was taken into custody at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Nanak Way by Vermont State Police troopers from the Rutland Barracks.

The outstanding warrant was for charges of deceptive or fraudulent business practices, according to police.

Stewart was processed at the Rutland Barracks following his arrest.

He was then lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.

Stewart is scheduled to appear before the Rutland County Superior Court on April 11 at 12:30 p.m.
