DANVILLE — Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Hawkins Road after receiving reports of vandalism at 8:23 a.m. on April 11.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks discovered a residential property had been damaged and burglarized the night before.
Investigation revealed a juvenile traveled to the residence, damaged property, and entered without permission, according to police.
Troopers made contact with the suspect and their parents shortly after the discovery.
The juvenile, a Danville resident, was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Family Division on a future date.
The juvenile faces charges of burglary and unlawful mischief.
The victim was identified as Eric Newland, 51, of Danville.
