COBLESKILL — State Police arrested a 65-year-old lunch monitor on Thursday for allegedly having inappropriate conversations with middle school students.

Paul G. Hallock of Cobleskill faces five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Troopers received a complaint on April 7 that Hallock reportedly had inappropriate conversations with students at William H. Golding Middle School while working as a lunch monitor.

The investigation determined that from October 2024 until February, Hallock allegedly had conversations with multiple students under the age of 17 that were “injurious to the mental and moral welfare of the children.”

Hallock was processed at SP Cobleskill and transferred to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

The Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District cooperated during the investigation, and Hallock was placed on administrative leave.

State Police ask anyone with information or who believes they may be an additional victim to contact them at 518-457-6811 or email Crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
