POWNAL — A 62-year-old Essex Junction man suffered minor injuries after his cargo van left the roadway and struck a parked vehicle on Route 346 Friday afternoon.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks responded to the crash at 408 Route 346 at 3:03 p.m.
According to police, Gary Hartmann was driving a 2021 Ram Cargo Van when the vehicle veered off the road for unknown reasons.
The van entered a ditch, crossed a driveway, and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle before coming to rest on the front lawn of the residence.
Hartmann, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained suspected minor injuries in the collision.
Pownal Rescue transported him to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for treatment.
The cargo van sustained heavy front-end damage in the crash.
The Pownal Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.
No violations have been issued at this time as the investigation continues.
