ROME — A 19-year-old Utica resident faces burglary charges after police recovered stolen electronics from a Rome home.
The Rome Police Department responded to a burglary report in the 700 block of West Embargo Street on Monday, April 7.
The victim told officers that numerous high-value electronics were stolen from their residence during overnight hours while they were asleep.
An investigation by the Rome Police Detective Division and Patrol Division led officers to a residence on North Doxtator Street.
At that location, police identified suspects and recovered many of the stolen items.
Carnation D. Phillips, 19, of Utica, was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree.
Phillips was processed and transported to centralized arraignment at the Oneida County Jail.
Police say the investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
