POUGHKEEPSIE — A 31-year-old man was arrested on felony drug charges following an investigation by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force.

Latif S. Reid-Ogarro was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.

The investigation began after the Drug Task Force received information about narcotics being sold from a residence on Carroll Street in the city.

Task force agents purchased narcotics from Reid-Ogarro on multiple occasions near the residence and at other nearby locations, officials said.

These purchases led to authorities obtaining a search warrant for Reid-Ogarro’s Carroll Street home.

On April 9, Drug Task Force agents and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed the search warrant, resulting in Reid-Ogarro’s arrest.

Reid-Ogarro is being held at the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department pending arraignment in City Court.

The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau and the District Attorney’s Dangerous Drug and Violent Crimes Unit.
