NORWALK — Norwalk police have arrested a 44-year-old local man following an investigation into a shots fired incident on Connecticut Avenue earlier this month.
Eugene Davis, of 10 Pulaski Street, turned himself in to police headquarters on April 10 after detectives secured an arrest warrant in connection with the April 4 shooting.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. when patrol officers responded to reports of shots fired near 116 Connecticut Avenue.
Officers discovered several shell casings in the roadway and secured the scene before detectives took over the investigation.
Detectives worked through the night collecting evidence and canvassing the area, which led to identifying Davis as a suspect.
Davis faces multiple charges including illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment in the first degree and criminal attempt at assault in the first degree.
Bond was set at $1,000,000 with a court date scheduled for April 24.
