LYNBROOK — A Brooklyn man with 34 license revocations was arrested Monday after a license plate reader alerted police to a stolen plate on his vehicle.
At approximately 8 p.m. on April 7, a Lynbrook police officer on patrol received an alert from a license plate reader about a stolen license plate.
The plate, which had been reported stolen from an Acura, was discovered on a Ford Explorer traveling on Peninsula Boulevard.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver, a male resident of Brooklyn, provided his driver’s license.
A subsequent check revealed the man’s license had been revoked 34 times.
The driver was taken into custody following the discovery of his revoked driving status.
