KINGSTON — Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Bronx men who collectively owed more than $124,500 in child support following an early morning operation in New York City.

The arrests occurred at 6 a.m. on April 9 when members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, working with the New York City Police Department, executed two arrest warrants in the Bronx.

David Freeman, 46, and Julius Graham, 35, were taken into custody on warrants previously issued by the Ulster County Family Court for failure to pay child support.

Freeman owed approximately $118,000 in child support arrears at the time of his arrest.

Graham owed approximately $6,500.

Both men were transported to Ulster County by members of the Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division.

Graham was taken directly to the Ulster County Jail to begin serving a 60-day sentence as ordered by the Ulster County Family Court from a previously issued commitment order.

Freeman was arraigned in Ulster County Family Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $118,000 cash bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date for further proceedings.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York City Police Department (Patrol Borough Bronx), the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, and the Ulster County Child Support Collections Enforcement Unit, a division of the Department of Social Services.
