FULTON — State Police arrested a Central Square man Monday on felony charges after he allegedly stole thousands of dollars in coins and several bottles of liquor while working as a contractor at a Fulton residence.
Shaun P. Sharp, 37, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, following an investigation into the March 25 theft.
The homeowner reported approximately $11,000 in coins missing from the residence, along with 14 bottles of liquor.
Sharp was already in custody at the Oswego County Jail on an unrelated matter when the new charges were filed.
During their investigation, troopers discovered Sharp had also violated an active order of protection by contacting a protected party while incarcerated, resulting in an additional charge of second-degree criminal contempt.
Sharp was transported back to the Oswego County Correctional Facility where he awaits arraignment on the new charges.
