MAYFIELD — A structure fire on Route 30 in the town of Mayfield brought multiple fire departments to the scene early Wednesday morning.
The call came in at 4:41 a.m. from a passerby on State Highway 30 who spotted the blaze.
A Mayfield Incident Commander confirmed a working structure fire that was fully involved upon arrival.
The commander requested a full response from the Pleasant Square Volunteer Fire Company and a tanker from the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company.
Broadalbin-Kennyetto also dispatched a water source truck to the scene.
Northville Fire Department stood by for Mayfield, while Meco Fire Department covered the Pleasant Square station.
Police also responded to the incident.
The structure was initially reported to be on Ferguson Road, but responders later determined the correct location was on Route 30.
