BETHLEHEM — A Bethlehem man died following a rollover crash on Interstate 93 Tuesday evening.

At 6:16 p.m., New Hampshire State Police Troopers from the Troop F barracks responded to a crash on I-93 just south of Exit 40.

Upon arrival, Troopers found a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue with extensive damage consistent with a rollover crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed the driver was traveling south on I-93 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and entered the median.

The Oldsmobile rolled several times before coming to rest on the northbound side of the median.

The driver, identified as Thomas Oakes, 26, of Bethlehem, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.

Littleton Police Department, Littleton Fire Rescue, Bethlehem Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted Troopers at the scene.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to contact Trooper Jacob Thomas at (603) 846-3333 or Jacob.M.Thomas@dos.nh.gov.
