CAMERON — The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two men from Cameron on April 5 following an alleged violent altercation.
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reported that Dakota J.L. Barber, 22, and Herbert L. Barber, 48, were taken into custody after allegedly striking and kicking another individual, resulting in serious physical injury.
The victim of the assault was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
Dakota Barber was charged with assault in the second degree, a class D felony.
Herbert Barber faced charges of both assault in the second degree, a class D felony, and resisting arrest.
Both individuals were arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and subsequently released.
