ST JOHNSBURY — A 58-year-old St Johnsbury man was arrested Monday evening on multiple outstanding warrants related to driving under the influence and other charges.

At approximately 7:41 p.m., Vermont State Police troopers on patrol in the Railroad Street area learned that Charles Richardson had an outstanding warrant.

Troopers located Richardson at his residence shortly thereafter.

Investigation revealed Richardson was wanted on charges including DUI #4 or subsequent/influence drug, DUI #4 or subsequent test refusal, vehicle operation with license suspended for DUI, eluding law enforcement, and DUI #3 test refusal.

After confirming Richardson’s identity and the warrant, troopers took him into custody.

He was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on April 8 at 12:30 p.m.

Richardson was then transported to Northeast Correctional Complex where he was held on $2,500 bail for the outstanding warrants.
