ST. JOHNSBURY — A 64-year-old St. Johnsbury man faces multiple charges after allegedly shattering a glass door at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital while being transported to a correctional facility.
Robert Earl Turcotte was arrested at approximately 6 p.m. on April 7 after the incident at NVRH.
According to St. Johnsbury Police, officers were attempting to transport Turcotte from the hospital to the Northeast Regional Correctional Center for intoxication when he kicked one of the automatic doors, causing the glass to shatter.
Turcotte is being charged with felony unlawful mischief, disorderly conduct, and as a habitual criminal.
He is being held at the Northeast Regional Correctional Center on $1,000 bail.
Turcotte is scheduled to be arraigned in Caledonia Court at 1 p.m. on April 8.
