NORTH ELBA — State Police arrested Wyatt J. Cassidy, 46, of Lake Placid, for driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated on April 5.
On April 4, at approximately 11:41 p.m., Troopers responded to Cascade Road in the town of North Elba for a personal injury accident.
Upon arrival, they found a white 2023 Toyota on its roof off the southern shoulder and interviewed the sole occupant, identified as Cassidy.
Troopers and EMS rendered aid to Cassidy, who showed signs of impairment.
Cassidy was transported to Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for medical evaluation and subsequently released.
He was then transported to SP Ray Brook, where he failed the standardized field sobriety tests.
Cassidy provided a positive breath sample with a blood alcohol content of .26%.
He was released on appearance tickets for a court date in North Elba later in April.
