LYNBROOK — Lynbrook Police officers recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested its driver during a routine patrol on April 3.
Officers observed a 2010 Nissan with New York registration traveling on Peninsula Boulevard at Sunrise Highway around 11 p.m.
A registration check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from New York City.
Police conducted a traffic stop and, with assistance from dispatchers, confirmed the vehicle was the one reported stolen.
The driver, identified as a Queens resident, was taken into custody at the scene.
The suspect has been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and is awaiting prosecution.
