Londonderry man faces charges after assaulting state troopers

LONDONDERRY — A local man is facing multiple charges after allegedly becoming violent with Vermont State Police troopers who were investigating a vandalism report.

Gary Ewens Jr., 49, of Londonderry, was arrested on April 7 after police responded to a report of vandalism at a residence on Overlook Drive at approximately 5:47 p.m.

According to authorities, Ewens became assaultive toward troopers during their investigation of the incident.

Ewens was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing and later issued citations for unlawful mischief and assault of a protected professional.

He is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division on April 29 at 8:30 a.m.
