BOSTON — An 82-year-old Boston man was arrested Monday night after allegedly stabbing someone with a pair of nail clippers in the South End.
Officers from District D-4 responded to 444 Harrison Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. following reports of a stabbing.
Boston Police Operations informed responding officers that the suspect had attacked the victim with nail clippers before fleeing the scene.
Police located Williams Mells standing outside the address based on the description provided and immediately placed him in handcuffs.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mells was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
