MANLIUS — The Town of Manlius Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 4 p.m. today in the 200 block of Elmbrook Drive near Garrett Drive in the Village of Manlius.
The victim has been identified as Kenquan Davis, 39, of Syracuse.
Authorities are searching for a person of interest in connection with the shooting.
The individual is identified as Radu Turner, 48, a black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 155 pounds.
Turner’s last known address is 205 Elmbrook Drive, Manlius.
Turner is believed to be operating a dark gray 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with New York license plate LHX-5697.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Davis and Turner, who are known to each other, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of a residence just before the shooting.
Davis was in a vehicle and attempted to drive away when he was hit by gunfire, which caused him to crash into a tree on Garrett Drive.
Anyone with information on Turner’s whereabouts or the vehicle is urged not to approach and to contact 911 for law enforcement assistance.
