CORTLANDVILLE — A woman has been charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from a local Walmart.
Nikki VanEvery, 47, was arrested on April 4 at approximately 5:51 p.m. by officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 5:06 p.m. at the Walmart on Bennie Road in Cortlandville, leading officers to respond to a larceny complaint.
VanEvery, a resident of West Valley Road in the Town of Preble, was taken into custody and processed at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear for arraignment at the Town of Cortlandville Court on April 21 at 1 p.m.
