MIDDLETOWN — Police and emergency responders responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Roussin Road and Elm Street in Newport, Rhode Island on Tuesday.
One vehicle was exiting Roussin Road and crossing Elm Street when it was struck by a westbound vehicle on Elm Street.
Both vehicles rolled over in the collision, causing entrapment of the occupants.
Three people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred at the intersection in east Newport, which has been the site of previous accidents.
Emergency responders cleared the scene by 3:30 p.m.
