Police seek suspect in Stop and Shop theft in Southbury

SOUTHBURY — The Southbury Police Department is investigating a larceny that occurred at the Stop and Shop on Main Street North Wednesday evening.

Officers responded to 100 Main Street North at approximately 8:25 p.m. on April 2 for a report of an active theft.

According to police, a male suspect believed to be in his late 30s with a gray goatee stole approximately $603.88 worth of merchandise from the store.

The suspect was described as wearing a black baseball hat with a white triangle logo, a dark blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and green Crocs.

Police said the man fled the scene in a gray Lincoln sedan and was last seen entering the exit 15 ramp heading eastbound.
