PLYMOUTH — New Hampshire State Police are renewing efforts to solve the decades-old disappearance of Patrick Merrill, a 21-year-old student who vanished near the Plymouth State College campus on April 6, 1987.
Investigators believe foul play may have been involved in Merrill’s disappearance, according to a statement released by the department’s Cold Case Unit on Tuesday.
Merrill was last seen in the vicinity of what was then known as Plymouth State College, now Plymouth State University.
The New Hampshire State Police have collaborated with the Vermont State Police throughout the 37-year investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Merrill’s disappearance to submit tips to the Cold Case Unit through their online tip form or by emailing coldcaseunit@dos.nh.gov.
No suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the case.
