UTICA — Police arrested a New York Mills man and seized large quantities of drugs and cash following a multi-agency raid on April 4.

John Miller, 51, was taken into custody after authorities executed search warrants at a residence on Clinton Street in New York Mills and at a storage unit.

Law enforcement recovered 780 grams of cocaine and 475 grams of methamphetamine during the searches.

Officials also seized more than $866,000 in U.S. currency.

Miller faces charges of first-degree and second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with additional charges likely as the investigation continues.

The operation involved the Utica Police Department Special Investigations Unit, Crime Prevention and GIVE Units, working alongside the New York Mills Police Department, Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
