NEWPORT CENTER — A Newport Center man faces reckless endangerment charges after allegedly firing multiple gunshots in his apartment and falsely reporting a burglary, according to Vermont State Police.
Guster Perry, 23, was cited after police responded to his Vermont Route 105 apartment around 5:55 a.m. on March 20 for a reported break-in with an armed suspect.
After securing the scene and investigating, troopers determined no burglary had occurred.
According to police, Perry had “blindly fired multiple rounds” in his apartment, including one that traveled through his door, into a neighboring wall and lodged in an adjacent doorframe.
No injuries were reported.
Perry was cited to appear in court on reckless endangerment charges.
