One-car rollover in Jerusalem sends 4 to hospital

JERUSALEM — A one-car rollover crash on Italy Friend Road sent a man and three children to the hospital Monday morning, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

John Sikes, 28, of Campbell, was driving a pickup truck southwest on Italy Friend Road in the town of Jerusalem when the vehicle went off the road at approximately 7:11 a.m.

The truck struck a ditch on the west side of the road before rolling over and coming to rest on its wheels in a driveway.

Sikes was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for neck pain.

Three minors, ages 1, 8, and 10, who were passengers in the vehicle, were also taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Yates County Sheriff Deputies responded to the scene along with Yates County Ambulance, Penn Yan Ambulance, and Branchport Keuka Park Fire Department.

The investigation into the crash is being handled by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
