MANCHESTER — A Massachusetts man was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly driving more than 100 mph on Interstate 93 and resisting arrest during an early morning traffic stop.

Trooper Brian Knell of New Hampshire State Police Troop B observed a black Cadillac XTS traveling at 111 mph on I-93 South in Manchester at approximately 3:45 a.m. Saturday, April 5.

The driver was identified as Kevin Mwaura, 21, of Danvers, Massachusetts.

When informed he was being placed under arrest for reckless operation, Mwaura allegedly became noncompliant and physically resisted the trooper’s efforts to take him into custody.

Mwaura was ultimately arrested and charged with reckless operation and resisting arrest.

Officials said Mwaura refused to cooperate during the booking process and declined bail.

He is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, April 7, in Manchester District Court.
