MARLBOROUGH — A 34-year-old Poughkeepsie woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Marlborough, according to State Police.
Troopers from State Police Highland responded to the fatal motor vehicle collision on Old Post Road at approximately 5:22 a.m. on April 5.
Investigators determined that Mariah Hyde was traveling northbound on Old Post Road when she lost control of her 2014 Kia Sorento and struck a tree on the eastern shoulder of the roadway.
Hyde, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Town of Marlborough Police Department assisted troopers at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the State Police Highland Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 845-691-2922.
