BRUNSWICK — State Police arrested a Troy man on multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of a child under 11 years old.
Michael A. Lindsley, 33, was taken into custody on April 3 after surrendering himself to authorities at the State Police Brunswick station.
Lindsley faces several serious charges including Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class C felony, and Sexual Abuse in the first degree, a class D felony.
Additional charges include Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.
He also faces misdemeanor charges of Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The investigation began on January 12 when Troopers received information about past sexual abuse of a child.
Investigators determined Lindsley allegedly had sexual contact with a child under 11 years old and took obscene photographs of the victim in a Hoosick Falls home.
Following his arrest and processing, Lindsley was arraigned at the Hoosick Falls Village court.
He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
