NORFOLK — State Police arrested a Morristown, N.Y., man after he allegedly threatened someone with a machete during an argument.
Andrew W. Mason, 50, was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon following the April 3 incident.
Troopers responded to Hutchins Street in Norfolk at approximately 6:51 p.m. after receiving reports of a man threatening people with a machete.
An investigation determined that Mason had brandished and swung a machete toward the victim during a verbal altercation.
Mason was transported to State Police barracks in Massena for processing.
He was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and released under probation supervision.
