LYNDON — A Lyndon man was arrested Friday night on multiple charges including second-degree domestic assault and several violations of abuse prevention orders.
Robert Evans, 38, was taken into custody at approximately 10:15 p.m. after Vermont State Police troopers located him following an earlier incident.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were initially dispatched to a citizen dispute in Lyndon at approximately 1:32 a.m. Friday.
Evans, who was identified as one of the involved parties, had left the scene before troopers arrived.
Investigation revealed Evans had an active in-state warrant for his arrest on charges of second-degree domestic assault, which is a felony, and multiple violations of abuse prevention orders.
When troopers located Evans later that evening, they determined he was also in violation of active abuse protection orders.
Evans was processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks and transported to Northeast Correctional Complex for lack of $20,000 bail.
