EVERETT — The Everett Police Special Criminal Investigations Unit executed multiple search warrants Friday, April 4, at approximately 5:30 p.m., resulting in the arrest of a Chelsea man on drug trafficking charges.
Kenny Capais of Commandants Way in Chelsea was charged with trafficking cocaine over 18 grams and possession of ammunition following the operation authorized by the Chelsea district court.
Investigators seized approximately $170,000 in cash along with drug distribution materials after additional search warrants were drafted and authorized by the court.
The investigation, led by the Everett Police Department, involved 48 hours of surveillance and the execution of several court-authorized search warrants across two different court jurisdictions and cities.
Officers from the Salem Police Department and the Everett Police Department patrol division assisted in the operation.
The investigation had officers working “diligently around the clock” for the past 48 hours to secure these outcomes, according to police officials.
