BUFFALO — A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested Friday on multiple felony charges including weapons possession and stolen property, according to New York State Police.
Laneille E. Jones was arrested April 4 following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Hempstead Avenue in Buffalo.
The arrest came after an investigation determined Jones, an employee who loaded trucks at UPS in Buffalo, was allegedly stealing items from UPS trailers.
Jones faces charges including second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon with a previous conviction, a class D felony; third-degree criminal possession of stolen property over $3,000, a class D felony; and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property (firearm), a class E felony.
The search warrant was executed by the Troop A Community Stabilization Unit, SIU Buffalo, and State Police Buffalo K9 unit.
Jones was processed at the State Police Buffalo station and transported to Buffalo Lockup for centralized arraignment.
